DroidCam Use your Android Mobile as USB Webcam on PC (Android 2.1+)

Note:
The following tutorial is not hacking or cracking of any kind. This is a step by step guide.

This post is about using an Android Device(2.1+) as Webcam via USB interface (via ADB).
Allows you to chat using "DroidCam Webcam" on your computer (Skype/Yahoo/MSN/etc..), and talk via "DroidCam Microphone".



1. Download DroidCam from Android Market It's Free.(Android Market or Play store)
2.You must download and install a computer client to use the app (Windows available) on your computer and check out all the info + install the client.
3. Download ADB (Android Debug Bridge aka ADB)
I'M ASSUMING THAT ADB IS ON
 C: Drive (or d: e: f: drives ) NOTE: Nowdays ADB comes Embeded with DroidCam PC client.
4. Turn USB Debugging ON (on Android  Device(Phone) tap Menu> Setting>Applications>Development Turn USB Debugging ON).
5. Connect your Phone to PC via USB Cable. (USB Driver required, comes in software CD bundled with Phone.)
6. Open DroidCam on Android Device then Goto Options>Connection Port> Enter Value 4747.
7. On a Windows PC Open Command Prompt (cmd.exe) locate Extracted Adb folder.
   for Example Assume ADB Extracted in root of C Drive
       (i)Run Command Prompt (window key + r then type cmd then press Enter).
       (ii)   cd\    Press Enter
       (iii)  c:      Press Enter
       (iv)  cd ADB   Press Enter
       (v)  adb.exe     (Press Enter)

            List of Commands will List.
      (vi)  adb devices   (this Command will List ur Connected Android Phone(eg. ‘HT1234xxx device’).
      (vii) adb forward tcp:4747 tcp:4747
(where the first number is the port the PC client will use, and the 2nd – the phone app). Nothing should get printed.
NOTE: You must run this command every time you re-connect your phone. Right-click on the Windows client to automatically execute this command.
     (viii) Run the PC client, choose ADB as connection method Enter Port: 4747 and click [connect].

Check the Web Cam by VLC Media Player.
Goto Media>Open Capture Device> Select Video Device Name: DroidCam   then Click Play
